DR. UMEAKUEWULU CONTINUES FACILITY TOUR TO STRENGTHEN SERVICE DELIVERY AT COOUTH The Chief Medical Director of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Dr. Maureen Uche Umeakuewulu, on Tuesday, 24th March 2026, continued her working tour of facilities within the Teaching Hospital as part of efforts to assess operations and improve service delivery. During the tour, she visited the General Out-Patient Department (GOPD), Surgical Wards, Children Out-Patient (CHOP), Paediatrics Unit, Children Emergency Unit, Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and the Theatre Complex, where she interacted with staff and observed the workflow in the various units. Dr. Umeakuewulu emphasized the need to ensure that everything is put in the right place to enable smooth and efficient flow of work across departments. She noted that proper organization of facilities, equipment, and personnel would enhance patient care, reduce delays, and improve overall productivity. She reiterated her administration’s commitment to strengthening operational efficiency and creating a more coordinated healthcare environment for both patients and staff.
