DR. UMEAKUEWULU RECEIVES REPRESENTATIVES OF NIGERIA SOCIAL INSURANCE TRUST FUND ON A COURTESY VISIT. The Chief Medical Director of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital Amaku, Awka, Dr Uche Umeakuewulu warmly received members of the NSTF who paid a courtesy visit to her today, the 25th March, 2026. The Leader of the group, Bar. Emeka Peter Maximus Onunkwo disclosed that the purpose of the visit was to welcome the new CMD to her new office, to familiarise with the hospital’s leadership and operations, and to explore possible areas of collaboration, particularly in areas of staff welfare as it concerns their insurance. He appreciated the Management team led by Dr. Umeakuewulu for her plans to position the Health Institution in a place of pride, noting that it will help to attract partnerships for the hospital both locally and internationally. Dr. Uche warmly welcomed the delegations, commending them for finding time to pay her a visit and for their consistent commitment in serving humanity in different parts of the country. She appreciated their visit and expressed the hospital’s openness to collaborate in improving staff welfare as it concerns the insurance, which she sighted as one of the things that boasts the morale of every employee. She revealed that the plan is to make COOUTH a centre for Medical tourism both in Medical equipments, professional service delivery and human capital development in no distant time. Other members of the Management Team present were the CMAC, Dr. Nnaemeka Umedum, the DCMAC, Dr. Ifeoma Njelita, Head of Accounts Department, Mr. Wilson Ezeilo, the Head of Admin, Mrs Chioma Ibekie, the Ag.
