DR. UMEAKUEWULU HOLDS STRATEGIC MEETING WITH PHARMACY DEPARTMENT, ASSURES SWIFT ACTION The Chief Medical Director of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Amaku, Awka, Dr. Maureen Uche Umeakuewulu, on Thursday, 2nd April 2026, held a strategic meeting with members of the Pharmacy Department as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen service delivery and enhance operational efficiency in the hospital. The Pharmacy Department was led by the Head of Department, Pharm. Nkem Obiano. Members of the department congratulated the Chief Medical Director on her appointment and expressed confidence in her leadership, noting their optimism that her administration would bring renewed progress to thepharmacyy profession within the hospital. They also highlighted some of the challenges confronting the department and sought management’s support in addressing them. In her response, Dr. Umeakuewulu assured them of swift action to resolve the issues raised and improve operational efficiency. She also promised to promote and protect the pharmacy profession while ensuring a conducive working environment that supports productivity and quality patient care. Other members of the Management Team present at the meeting included the Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee (CMAC), Dr. Nnaemeka Umedum; Deputy CMAC, Dr. Ifeoma Njelita; Head of Administration, Mrs. Chioma Ibekie; Head of Accounts, Mr. Wilson Ezeilo; and the Public Relations Officer, Agbai Henrietta.
