DR. UMEAKUEWULU RECEIVES N&C HOPE AND MERCY FOUNDATION, COMMENDS HUMANITARIAN SUPPORT The Chief Medical Director of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital Amaku, Awka, Dr. Maureen Uche Umeakuewulu, on Wednesday, 1st April 2026, received members of N&C Hope and Mercy Foundation, a non-governmental organization committed to providing humanitarian support to vulnerable individuals. The visit, which took place at her office, was part of the Foundation’s outreach to assist patients who are financially constrained and in need of urgent support for their medical care. During the visit, the Foundation settled the hospital bills of four patients and further extended support to one additional patient receiving treatment in the facility. Dr. Umeakuewulu expressed appreciation for the Foundation’s compassion and generosity, noting that such interventions help to alleviate the burden on indigent patients and complement the hospital’s commitment to quality and accessible healthcare. She encouraged more organizations and well-meaning individuals to emulate the gesture in support of vulnerable members of society. The group, led by Pastor Solomon Marcus, expressed satisfaction with the warm reception accorded them by the Chief Medical Director and her management team.
